Physical description: Friday is best described as slight, white, and androgynous. Although they tend toward femme on some days, they take pride in (and run certain risks by) confusing the average onlooker about their gender, lucky to have nothing to distinctive or hard to hide in the way of secondary sex characteristics. Relatively flat, slender, and moderately sized, they like to keep their mousy blonde hair at a medium length, and there are a couple of moles -- or beauty marks, as they call them -- on their angular face, which is shaped just soft enough to be ambiguous. Most days, you can find them with painted nails and a little eyeshadow.
While they're not as light-skinned as some White folks are, they haven't been getting a lot of sun lately, and it shows.
History: The first time they came out to their parents was bad enough, but after they figured more of themselves out and tried again, with updated labels, their parents kicked them out for good, and they've been trying to live on their own ever since. Or used to, that is. Homeless youth have a way of being easy targets for all manner of miscreants -- including vampires. Why this one chose to turn them, Friday couldn't say, but the man didn't stick around long, leaving them disoriented and on their own to figure things out. In retrospect, having learned a little more now, they think he must have been beset by vampire hunters and was trying to put another vampire in their path as a distraction while he got away. Whether the ploy was successful, Friday doesn't know, but they're just glad to have another chance at life, even if it's a dead one.
Dodging the daylight and trying to keep a handle on their bloodlust, they've been meandering from city to city in their beatup old car, carrying with them all the belongings they had to their name. It was in the process of skipping across the map in an attempt to evade law enforcement and hunters that they ended up spending some time in a town called Whispering Meadows, where they rescued Sir Kailen, the fairy knight, from the encasing of ice that had sealed his arm to a Starbucks table. Friday still hasn't gotten the full details on what exactly happened to put him in that situation, but they do know that Kailen said something or another to piss off another fairy, and really, maybe that's all the details they need.
Initially, there was some tension between the two and the threat they might pose to one another, Kailen with his magic, Friday with their teeth, but as they began spending more time together -- the fairy following the vampire around as if they were his guide to this realm -- Kailen relaxed more and began to trust Friday not to bite him, and Friday became less concerned about winding up with their own arm frozen to a table, pleased to have some company, especially that which might help them against any marauding vampire hunters. They've been living together as friends ever since.
After moving again to Mossy Hollow, just to be safe, Friday's been scraping by with the job they found at a casino, working late night hours to avoid the sun. Their liquid diet cuts back on expenses, but only some, as long as they want to stay off the streets -- meaning Friday would be very interested in any side jobs that could make a pretty penny.
