It was getting late, the sun had gone down a few hours ago and Stella had just finished moving in. She had rented a small one room apartment for herself, not knowing how long she would be staying. She was exhausted and felt herself going crazy by the minute. She needed to get out, she'd been locked up all day trying to get things settled. Quickly she slid her old leather jacket over her dark green tank top and threw on some slip on shoes that looked like they were going to fall apart at any second and snatched her keys and old leather pack from the coat rack.
It didn't take her long to find a parking spot close to main street. She had no idea where she was going or where she was in fact. All she knew that she was on main street. Thank goodness for the GPS on her iPhone. Since she had just arrived a few days ago she thought that a nice stroll would help acquaint her with her surroundings.
It didn't take her too long to find a snug little coffee shop. The smell of a fresh pot of coffee and baked goods reminded her how hungry she was. She entered the shop and fell head over heels in love with it. Bookcases lined a majority of the walls while the rest were covered in some sort of art work. A spiral stair case took up the very center of the room and it led to a loft area with even more bookcases and sitting areas. She ordered her coffee and a raspberry scone and headed up the staircase. Once there she found a perfect worn out red high backed arm chair and small black metal table set right by the window. She set her coffee and scone down on the table and began to browse the book collection. Finally she stumbled upon a travel book. It was written about 25 years before so it was out dated but it was filled with pictures of Europe. Stella sat down in the chair, took a sip of her coffee and thumb to the England section and started to gaze at the pictures of the country.
