alright, so i want to know how you music.
i want to know what you like and what you listen to most often. your favorites. if you write to music, do you have specific songs you listen to when writing different characters? 
just.
everything music.






since i started this thread, i'm going to start.
i actually have a pretty wide array of things i like. the only thing i don't exactly listen to is country, and even then i sometimes do just because. i'm actually really fond of different rocks, instrumentals, and things people make on accident when they mix two songs together, which is kind of a big gap now that i think about it.
some of my current favorites are the pacific rim theme, iron (i don't understand the music video either), pyrates beware, this version of get lucky, this song that also has an adorable music video, and thing like this, this, this and this (caution, this one has some language in it). i could probably link you to a million different songs, but i'm going to refrain. c:
i do have some songs i like listening for different characters. for whatever reason, i listen to a lot of waltz-y stuff and pyrates beware when writing anastasia. sometimes i listen to the pacific rim theme when writing kailen, but a lot of times i'm listening to softer things (and sometimes iron, since it actually fits rather well with him). haytham is my disney character and i usually listen to a bunch of disney when writing him.
which is... kind of... strange, now that i think about it. sorry haytham.

Uh I'm not sure how to describe my taste in music because 1) I don't know much about music or subgenres and 2) I don't really keep up with any particular singers or bands, which makes me a terrible loser to have this conversation with (and I'll probably chime in with more comprehensive stuff later) but I'll leave y'all with this for now, one of my favorite songs: Black Mission Goggles.

Ok, I like rock. not death metal or any of that emo-screamer stuff, true rock like ZZTop, Nickelback, Tom Petty, Green Day, Linkin Park, and Guns N Roses. I still listen to most other music aside Country, but still mostly listen to rock. I even listen to rap.

I grew up on country music, and a very little christain, but in the last few years I've been enjoying pop, rock and a little of most others. A few of my favorite singers are Garth Brooks, Michael W. Smith, Raffi, Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5, Celine Dion, One Republic, Evanescence, and Katy Perry.

raze i listen to some of the older green day and linkin park. they're pretty good. c:
have you listened to any anberlin? i kind of categorize them in the same group at linkin park and green day, and if you haven't i would recommend them.

azure hey, one republic! i like a bit of their stuff.
anything by them you'd recommend? i haven't listened to a lot of their stuff, and am kind of interested to know your favorites.

avery I haven't listened to much myself, but what I have heard has been great. The ones I've listened to are All The Right Moves, Counting Stars, Stop And Stare, Good Life, and Feel Again. I might have missed one or two, but that's most of what I've listened to so far.

I like a lot of Linkin Park's Meteora and Hybrid Theory stuff. Never heard of anberlin but will check it out. Any songs in particular you recommend? I like some of Green Day's new stuff but their American Idiot album was better.

Checked out your band suggestion. They were pretty good. Though some of the vocals seemed strained. Other then that they were good.

So far I may have the widest range of music displayed here. I was raised on country and country/western, and still love it. Rap, R&B, Pop (new school and old), Rock (all sub-genres - classic, alternative, punk, a little indie, the various -metals and -cores, etc.), Dubstep/Techno/Electrocona, and a teeny bit of Jazz with a smattering of some Blues.

I could probably list 10+ artists I love under each genre/sub-genre, but instead I'll just give a couple examples: Zac Brown Band, Alabama, Keith Urban, older Nelly, Eminem (minus the Relapse album era), a lot of underground artists like Hopsin (not so underground anymore), Cryptic Wisdom and The Jokerr, gotta love them Backstreet Boys and N*Sync and older Britney Spears, I dig some of Ke$ha's stuff, Metallica, ZZTop, Jane's Addiction, Asking Alexandria, Breaking Benjamin, Of Mice and Men, 3 Doors Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Avril Lavigne, Nickelback, Disturbed, my hubby recently got me into Escape the Fate...I could go on! I'm also a certifiable Disney addict, so the majority of Disney movie music is on my playlist.

So far I haven't developed a playlist for this site yet, but I'm sure it won't take long.

Ok, I'll agree to some of that. Huge Eminem fan(Agreed on Relapse, not his greatest.) Avril is awesome, I'm also a fan of Will Smith, Janes Addiction and breaking Benjamin are ok, I'm also a fan of ZZ 3 doors down,and Nickelback, also like of Mice and Men, not so big on boy band era stuff, my sister drove me crazy with that stuff. Metallica, disturbed, Black Sabbath and Sound Garden are great veterans of rock. Not so big on Ke$ha, I prefer Rihanna and Demi Lovato. I refer to others on country because I'm done with it. Having it pounded in to my head for a year gave me a certain distaste for it.

I can totally understand rebelling against it after it being pounded into your head. My brother did that for a while too. I love so much of what you said!! I'm a pretty big fan of Demi but I don't like Rihanna so much x)
